1. Where can I get help for my alcohol and/or drug problem?

You have already taken the important first step, which is realizing you have a problem which is adversely impacting your physical, emotional, and psychological health, and which may also be causing pain and distress to your family and friends.

 

There are many high-quality addiction treatment services available to residents of the state of Tennessee, and evidence clearly shows that treatment works! You can start by contacting an addiction treatment specialist who can make referrals: call the Tennessee Redline 1-800-889-9789, or access the Tennessee Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Treatment Resource Directory, or SAMHSA Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator. In addition, the Tennessee Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services offers information and referrals during business hours, 615-741-1921.

 

2. What can I do to help someone I love stop abusing drugs and/or alcohol?
